2018
2018, another amazing year. I bought the 90mm f/2.8 Sony Macro G and immediately fell in love with it in a matter of minutes while taking photos of rain drops on clovers in my back yard. This year I embarked on not only one but two amazing backpacking trips. On the first trip a few close friends and I explored the Sonoran and Mojave Deserts in Joshua Tree. Amazing sunsets, great hiking, lots of spiky things, and excellent company, this trip holds a special place in my heart.
The second trip was on the North fork of the Eel River in Northern California. Accompanied by my father, Banjo Bill, my wife, Meg, and my best friend Trevor, equipped with a rented Sony Zeiss 16-35mm f/4 lens, we bushwhacked our way into overgrown wilderness. We had a blast swimming, rock scrambling, and relaxing in the shade. Great company and a few good photos. I wish I was there now.
Finally to top it all off I got a few good photos in my home town of Mendocino.
